Sky Rojo Season 1 Episode 5 Recap Review The Review Geek

The Escape Episode 5 of Sky Rojo begins with Coral and Gina deliberating over what to do about Wendy. Coral likens fear to a hot potato, which is enough motivation for her to turn the car around and head back. At the same time, Wendy races into an abandoned warehouse where Moises and Christian arrive in hot pursuit. There’s a nice little Easter egg here in the form of a Salvador Dali puppet, as the camera pans up and shows this eerily claustrophobic area....

Spider Man Far From Home Film Review The Review Geek

A Perfectly Fine Addition To The MCU When it comes to box office cinema, two things are almost a given – sequels or remakes and superhero films. Far From Home is the latest Marvel superhero flick fresh off the assembly line, following on from the emotional rollercoaster of End Game. Abandoning the usual locale of New York, Spider-Man swings straight into Europe, through the usual tirade of tricks and tropes, rekindling the usual Marvel formula for a sure-fire blockbuster hit this Summer....

Strangers From Hell Season 1 Episode 1 Recap Review

Neighbours From Hell Based on the web-comic of the same name, Strangers From Hell is an interesting and deliciously twisted horror, one that makes the most of its stylish camera angles and well-placed internal monologues to heighten the tension and mood almost immediately. While the episode leaves many questions unanswered, it’s an impressive adaptation of the source material and so far, looks set to do things in style across this 10 episode drama....

Tau Film Review The Review Geek

An Unremarkable, Unoriginal Sci-Fi Thriller Netflix’s continued streak of passable sci-fi continues with Tau, a film that takes some of the core ideas from successful films tackling artificial intelligence and turns them into a forgettable thriller. Some of this can be blamed on the script which moves along at breakneck speed, ultimately damaging any sort of affiliation with our kidnapped protagonist Julia (Maika Monroe). There are a few nice ideas here and the evolution of Tau from obedient intelligence to morally confused rage is well paced for the most part but feels lackadaisical and sloppily produced in a film that fails to capture the essence of what makes these films so memorable to begin with....
