30 The Origin Of The House Episode 8 of Shining Girls starts in Lake View Chicago, 1848. A man places a flower in his journal out in the woods. When he returns to the house he finds a body hanging from the rafters with a note “All yours.” This house happens to be the same one Harper is using for his time traveling, which we soon find out. That dog from before randomly showed up in the house for Harper during one of his travels too, explaining how it showed up randomly with Kirby....
Screamer Episode 5 of Shining Girls starts with Kirby trying to rush along her composite sketch of Harper. Given the man is a ghost, she’s concerned about the sparse details the officer is taking. As for Harper, he actually happens to be in hospital, strapped down with a gnarly scar across his face. He’s cut his flexor tendon and apparently he collapsed on Racine. The paramedics brought him in around midnight but it’s at least morning now....
The Escape Episode 5 of Sky Rojo begins with Coral and Gina deliberating over what to do about Wendy. Coral likens fear to a hot potato, which is enough motivation for her to turn the car around and head back. At the same time, Wendy races into an abandoned warehouse where Moises and Christian arrive in hot pursuit. There’s a nice little Easter egg here in the form of a Salvador Dali puppet, as the camera pans up and shows this eerily claustrophobic area....
Mrs. Diddles Episode 7 of Somebody Somewhere begins with Sam working in Trish’s shop, cheerfully interacting with customers. Trish is still torn up over what’s happened with Rick but doesn’t want to talk about it. She does, however, praise Sam for a job well done. Out of all the bridges burned or mended this season, Trish and Sam are finally back on the same page. Trish isn’t the only one who doesn’t want to talk; Joel is stuck in a rut and going through the motions following what’s happened....

Neighbours From Hell Based on the web-comic of the same name, Strangers From Hell is an interesting and deliciously twisted horror, one that makes the most of its stylish camera angles and well-placed internal monologues to heighten the tension and mood almost immediately. While the episode leaves many questions unanswered, it’s an impressive adaptation of the source material and so far, looks set to do things in style across this 10 episode drama....

An Unremarkable, Unoriginal Sci-Fi Thriller Netflix’s continued streak of passable sci-fi continues with Tau, a film that takes some of the core ideas from successful films tackling artificial intelligence and turns them into a forgettable thriller. Some of this can be blamed on the script which moves along at breakneck speed, ultimately damaging any sort of affiliation with our kidnapped protagonist Julia (Maika Monroe). There are a few nice ideas here and the evolution of Tau from obedient intelligence to morally confused rage is well paced for the most part but feels lackadaisical and sloppily produced in a film that fails to capture the essence of what makes these films so memorable to begin with....
